Concentration is the order of the day. This has immense flavour, both fruit and oak-derived, and a raging churn of tannin to match. It tastes of roasted plums, sweet blackberry, resin and toast, salt bush characters clearly evident too. It's both full-on and neat at once. It needs a great deal of time for everything to both knit together and to soften, but it's all here. 96 points.' Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
