Chateau Pato Chardonnay 2018

‘Chateau Pato is easily the Hunter Valley’s best kept secret. Established in 1980 by the late David Paterson, the winemaking is now done through his son, Nicholas. This is definitely on the richer side of Hunter Valley Chardonnay, but it is far from a big, buttery beast. It’s instead dominated by aromatic grapefruit, white pepper and warming nutmeg. Great milky texture too. This is a great example of Hunter Valley Chardonnay.’ AWC
