Hobbs ‘Tin Lids’ Shiraz Cabernet 2013

‘Hobbs source their fruit from the Barossa ranges – the mountains that divide Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. This provides a great meeting ground of the two, and creates a unique terroir of its own. This is no shrinking violet, though. A 50/50 blend, with two years in oak. It’s dark, very dark, with a concentrated nose and palate. 2013 was a great vintage in the region, and the years have been very kind to this beast of a wine. Expect ground coffee, dark plum, bitter cocoa and long, leathery tannins.’ AWC
