Langmeil Massimo 2019

‘A blend of 64% Montepulciano and 36% Primitivo made in the Barossa Valley. We’re always happy to see experimentation in this country – grapes from Italy tend to cope better with the heat and drought. Don’t be frightened though. Montepulciano is a great gateway grape because it is, in a lot of ways, similar to Shiraz. Primitivo is pretty sturdy as well, so this will sit well for the crowd who dip their toes in before jumping into the deep end. Dried roses, plums and olives on the nose, with flavours of dark berries, bramble and earthy spices. It’s bold and firm, and will absolutely make a Barossa Shiraz drinker happy.’ AWC
