”Sourced from exceptional old vines in the renowned Ebenezer subregion, this blend comprises 86% Shiraz and 14% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Shiraz ranges from 30 to 100 years of age, while the Cabernet comes from vines between 30 and 130 years old, producing naturally low yields of around 2.5 tonnes per hectare and fruit of remarkable concentration.
Fermented in small open fermenters with hand plunging three times daily, the wine was matured for 16 months in 100% new oak hogsheads (92% French and 8% American) on lees before being bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving purity, texture and character.

Tasting Note from Ben Glaetzer: “Deep purple with an impenetrable core and ruby rim, the nose opens with blackcurrant, blackberry and plum layered with cedar, rosemary and black pepper. The palate is rich and powerful, with Cabernet Sauvignon bringing focus and precision to the generous Shiraz fruit. Concentrated dark berries, impressive depth and finely integrated oak are supported by a confident structure, culminating in a long, harmonious finish where both varieties complement each other seamlessly.”
