Toolangi Vineyard Pinot Noir 2025

Toolangi Vineyard was established in 1995.  Vines grow on a deep bed of rich clay silts under a layer of finer silty clay loam topsoil.  Together with the gently sloping northeast aspect, the vineyard has proven to be an outstanding site that is highly regarded amongst the Yarra Valley wine community and beyond.
New owners took on Toolangi in 2017 and appointed acclaimed winemaker Kaspar Hermann (Mount Mary, Coldstream Hills, Punch, Seville Estate) to take Toolangi forward.  Ever since, the already impressive Toolangi Wines have shown even more purity and finesse via Hermann’s less is more approach.
These are wines that are a pure and direct expression of their site and they are a great example of Yarra Valley at its finest.
Toolangi Vineyard Pinot Noir 2025 shows exactly what Kaspar’s less is more approach can bring to a wine.  Here we see a single vineyard wine that allows the site to express itself in full.
In the winery, grapes were partially destemmed and fermented as whole berries with about 10% whole bunches in the mix. After a 14 day ferment, wine was pressed to oak, 10% new for maturation of nine months. Vibrant, pure, textural and very classy, especially at this price!
